Punta De Mita is a popular vacation spot, and it’s easy to see why. Beautiful beaches, gorgeous weather, and plenty of activities make this paradise a great place to visit year round. However, the area has so much more to offer than just sandy beaches and sunshine. There are many things you can do here that will make your trip even more memorable than just lying on the beach all day long! Here are some ideas on how you can spend your vacation in Punta De Mita:
Sunset at Puerto Jimenez
If you’re looking for a place that feels like paradise, this is it. This little town is built on the edge of a large lagoon and many people come here to swim in its clear blue waters. The best part about it? The sunsets are absolutely stunning! There are dozens of places throughout town where you can see the sunset from, but if you want to make sure your view will be unobstructed by other people, we recommend heading over to Calle 2 and Calle 3 (Street 2 and Street 3). You will find yourself surrounded by lush green mountains as well as some colorful boats docked nearby.
Horseback riding is a great way to spend time in the countryside. You can go for a private tour or a group tour and ride on the beach or in the mountains. The horses are well trained and you will have a great time!
One of the most popular things to do in Punta de Mita is to visit the hot springs. This natural phenomenon can be found in volcanic areas, areas with low precipitation levels, and high temperatures. Hot springs are also associated with areas of high geothermal activity.
Hot springs have been enjoyed by humans for centuries as a form of relaxation and rejuvenation. The healing properties come from the minerals that leach into the water from surrounding rocks or soil. These minerals include sodium, magnesium, calcium and sulfuric acid which are beneficial to your health because they help stimulate blood circulation and eliminate toxins from your body through sweat pores on your skin when you soak in them!
In the mountain areas, you can see Mexican Jays, which are the national bird of Mexico, Steller’s Jay, Black-throated Magpie Jays and a variety of hummingbirds such as Green Violetear Hummingbird and Blue-throated Hummingbird.
If you are going to birdwatch in Punta de Mita, take binoculars and a field guide so that you can identify what species you’re seeing. Not only will this make your trip more interesting but it could be helpful if you want to photograph them later on!
A good place to start is Hostería El Bosque de la Sierra where they offer guided tours around their nature reserve every morning except Mondays (the day off). They will even provide transportation if needed!
If birds aren’t really your thing then maybe consider something else like scuba diving or hiking instead? The choice is yours!
If you’re a wine lover and would like to learn more about the different kinds of wines from Punta de Mita, then this is the activity for you!
As a tourist destination, there are many wineries that offer wine tasting tours. If you want to find a good winery for your trip, it’s important to do some research beforehand so that you know what to look for in one. There are many factors that go into choosing the best one: price, location and reviews from previous customers will help determine whether or not it’s worth visiting. Most places allow visitors to taste up to four different types of wine during their private tour; however, if they let guests buy bottles at their store then prices can range anywhere between $10-$50+. The best thing about visiting these local vineyards is getting hands-on experience with how they make their product!
When to go
The best time to visit Punta De Mita is during the winter months, between November and April. The weather is still warm but not as hot as it can get during the summer. The rain season runs from May until October, with most of it falling during July and August. It’s still possible to enjoy your vacation in this period as well, with plenty of sunshine and fewer crowds at local restaurants and shops.
In terms of planning your trip, you should take into account that if you plan on staying at a hotel or resort then chances are they will have different rates for specific days throughout the year since there are more tourists around on holidays such as Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve.
Where should I stay?
There are many options available when considering where you want to stay while visiting this beautiful region; from private villas all the way up through luxurious hotels overlooking beautiful beaches such as those found along Banderas Bay (which includes both Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita). However there are many other options available including guesthouses which offer less expensive accommodations but still offer great amenities such as free WiFi internet access throughout each building so guests don’t have worry about paying extra fees when checking email messages back home!
